Your deep tissue massage will work on the deep layers of your muscular tissue, utilizing strong and precise pressure. The result is relieved knots, stimulated circulation, and a  relaxed mind and body.  Your practitoner will provide post treatment recommendations such as stretching and exercises to maximize the benefit of your treatment.

Deep tissue targets the deep layers of your muscular and connective tissues and has the ability to break up scar tissue from previous injuries.  When muscles are chronically tight, the flow of oxygen and nutrients are inhibited from entering the muscle- leading to inflammation and toxin build up.   Massaging the muscles helps to regenerate the tissues with adequate oxygen, thus releasing toxins.  This is why it’s very important to drink a lot of water after a deep tissue massage.  In fact, there are many things one can do to maximize the effects of their massage and prevent “Delayed Muscle Soreness”:

•  An epsom salt bath
•  Stretching
•  Light movement
•  Water
•  Since toxins will eventually eliminate through bowels, eating fiber will ensure that toxins will be dispelled through the digestive tract.
