Try Thai

Many have had massage, but few have yet to experience the benefits of a Thai Yoga Massage. Thai Massage originated in Thailand, and in recent years, has migrated its way to the west.
There are many components to this ancient modality:
Passive Yoga Asanas
Your practitioner will ask you to relax, as they delicately place your body into passive yoga and stretching poses. For this reason, Thai Massage has gained the reputation of being called “Lazy Man’s Yoga”. You will be encouraged to breath deeply into the poses to gain full benefit from each asana.
Acupressure Massage
Following the meridians of the body, your practitioner will massage several energy lines that are affiliated with different organs. They may use thumb, palm, and even elbow pressure to stimulate the meridians. The pressure used will depend on your pain tolerance- the treatment is ideally tailored to your preference of deepness.
Rocking, Shaking, and Percussion
Ever wonder why babies fall asleep when they are rocked? Rocking and shaking stimulates the autonomic nervous system, inevitably triggering your whole body to move into a state of complete relaxation.
Light Touch for Lymphatic Stimulation
The practitioner will “sweep” over areas where lymph nodes reside. This encourages the lymphatic fluid to be moved and even drained from different areas of the body.
Endless benefits have been reported from regular Thai Massage sessions. A few benefits include:
- Improves flexibility and releases muscle tension and spasms
- Increases circulation, enhances skin appearance and reduces scar tissue
- Provides relaxation and improves the depth of breathing
- Increases elasticity of digestive tract and prevents indigestion
- Improves muscle strength and removes toxins from the body
- Stimulates and improves activity of the right and left brain connection.
- Triggers the autonomic nervous system to promote a state of bliss and an energetic high
